Brady Criticizes Quinn's Budget
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Republican candidate for governor Bill Brady has harsh words for Gov. Pat Quinn's proposal to raise the state income tax.

Brady calls the plan a "disaster." He said Wednesday that raising taxes would cost Illinois jobs.

The state senator from Bloomington also blasted Quinn's plan to borrow nearly $5 billion to help keep the state afloat. He says the state doesn't have a plan to pay it back.

Brady questions whether Illinois could even get a loan.

Brady did say he looked forward to working with Quinn to fix the state's fiscal problems.

He also complimented Quinn for focusing on job development with a tax credit for small business. But Brady said the job credit doesn't go far enough.
