Quinn, Brady Going Out Early for Votes
CHICAGO (AP) -- The November election is still months away, but Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn and Republican Bill Brady are going out early for votes.

Quinn is courting union workers Wednesday. He's scheduled to address the annual conference of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Springfield.

Brady hosted his first in a series of "listening tours" this week in Elk Grove Village.

The state senator from Bloomington is out to deny Quinn a full term as governor. Quinn inherited the job last year when former Gov. Rod Blagojevich was removed from office after being arrested on federal corruption charges.

Quinn has pounded Brady as a social conservative who opposes abortion rights. Brady has criticized Quinn for wanting to raise the state income tax.

Illinois is struggling under a $13 billion budget deficit.
