Woodhull Man Accused of Sexual Assault Makes Plea in Case
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (AP) -- A Henry County man has pleaded not guilty to the kidnapping and rape of two women who say he forcibly took them to a remote cabin on an island near the confluence of the Rock and Mississippi Rivers.

29-year old Jason Kugler of Woodhull entered the plea Tuesday in Rock Island County District Court.

Rock Island County Sheriff's Police say Kugler picked up the victims earlier this month at a bus stop in Rock Island after offering them a ride to their jobs. They say he instead took them to the island and forced them into the cabin at gunpoint. Officers say he placed duct tape over the women's mouths and eyes, tied them up and raped them.

The women say that after Kugler left, they managed to chew themselves out of their restraints.
