Arrest Made in Warren County Hit-and-Run
POSTED 6:00 a-m 3/29/10 Warren County deputies have arrested a man in connection with a hit and run accident last week that injured a Monmouth resident.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards says the accident happened around 7:00 Friday night between Monmouth and Cameron on 180th Avenue.

A bicyclist identified as 52-year old Douglas Ray was traveling along that stretch of road when he was struck by what authorities says was a pick-up truck. Ray remains hospitalized in Peoria.

Authorities arrested 42-year old Troy Ragon of rural Warren County around 8:30 Sunday night. The truck he was allegedly driving during the hit and run was recovered in Coal Valley.

Edwards says additional charges against Ragon may be pending. He's jailed in Warren County awaiting a bond hearing.

Ray was airlifted to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where authorities are believed to have interviewed him over the weekend.
