Body Found in Q.C. House Destroyed By Fire
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (AP) -- Rock Island firefighters say a body was found in the wreckage of a single-story house destroyed by an explosion and fire.

Rock Island Fire Chief Doug Vroman said Wednesday evening no positive identification had been made of the body from the afternoon fire, but neighbors said they believed the only resident of the house was a 78-year-old woman who was on oxygen.

Vroman said firefighters arrived about 10 minutes after the first report of the fire and found the house fully engulfed by flames.

The fire also did minor damage to the houses on either side of the burning home.
