Warm Weather Sets Records
The first day of Spring proved to be a record setter Sunday for warm weather.

As local weather spotter Larry Anglund tells the WGIL Morning News, the temperature reached 75 degrees.

"The record was 68[degrees] back in '69 I think, something like that. The warm front just kept lifting north and the sunshine stayed out all day and all the rain actually missed us so we really had the opportunity to warm up there and it just didn't stop. In fact the weather service adjusted their forecast twice and still missed it."

Anglund adds, while it was nice the rain in the forecast had missed the area, it could mean trouble later on as high river levels and flooding along the Mississippi are already a concern due the moisture and precipitation that has occurred in the northern parts of the country.
