Soccer Safety On Parents Mind
(IRN)--A grieving mom and dad from Vernon Hills are on a crusade to keep what happened to their family from happening to anybody else.

Zachary Tran was 6 years old when a soccer goal fell on him, killing him, in 2003. His parents, Jayson and Michelle Tran, told an Illinois House committee portable soccer goals tip over too easily. They are in favor of a bill to require such goals be anchored, and that goals made or sold in Illinois in the future be tip-resistant.

The parents are calling it "Zack's Bill" and hope someday it becomes "Zack's Law."

HB 1130 has passed the House Consumer Protection Committee.
