Lincoln Film Props Coming to Springfield Museum
(AP) -- Historical fiction will join historical facts when props from an upcoming Abraham Lincoln assassination film are displayed at the 16th President's Springfield museum.

Robert Redford's The Conspirator portrays the trial and hanging of Mary Surratt, who ran the boarding house in which John Wilkes Booth and others stayed before Booth killed Lincoln.

The hanging scene from the Hollywood movie will adorn the Lincoln Museum from March 30 until May 5.

The film stars Robin Wright as Mary Surratt, James McAvoy as her attorney and Kevin Kline as Secretary of War Edwin Stanton. It releases nationwide April 15, the 146th anniversary of Lincoln's death.
