Galesburg Police Investigate Sexual Assault
Galesburg police are investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred Sunday.

Police were called to a home in the 1500 block of McKnight Street early Sunday to investigate the incident.

A 21-year old black female told police she had been "clubbing" with a friend she had known for about two weeks.

According to police reports, the woman said she had shared a bed with the man before, but there was never any physical contact until that night.

The woman, who said she had been drinking, claims the two went to sleep fully clothed but she awoke to the man performing a sexual act on her.

The man was described as wearing white T-shirt and red hooded sweatshirt. He had allegedly taken off in a cab.

Police later arrested 23-year old Robert Willingham of Chicago. He was taken to the Knox County Jail and charged with Criminal Sexual Assault by force.
