Arrests Made in Quarter Robbery
Galesburg Police are still investigating a couple suspicious incidents that occurred over the weekend.

Monday WGIL reported a large amount of quarters had allegedly been stolen from a home in the 600 block of North West Street Saturday night.

Police were trying to find any link from that theft, to three juveniles that cashed in more than 1,500 coins at a machine Sunday morning in the Hy-Vee Store on East Main Street in Galesburg.

According to police reports, two of the three, who actually put money into the Coinstar machine, were later arrested Sunday and taken to the Mary Davis Home in Galesburg.

It is not clear at this time where the 15 and 14 year old males are, or if they have been released to their parents.

The 14 year old lives just a block away from the home in which the quarters were taken.
