Fire Destroys Bushnell Restaurant
More than twelve hours after a fire destroyed a restaurant in Bushnell, firefighters were still on scene.

Bushnell Fire Chief Brent Glisan tells WGIL a fire broke out Thursday at the Brickhouse Restaurant in the 400 block of West Main Street.

He says the structure was totally destroyed and crews remained on scene as a precaution.

"When you do fires and things like this, we have hot spots that develop afterwards and that's what we're in the process of doing is making sure and getting those hot spots as they come up."

Glisan says a state fire marshall investigator has been called in but it is still unclear what started the blaze.

"We're in the cause and origin stage now, where they figure out what started it and things like that so we're in that part of the process now."

The Brickhouse is owned by Rick and Allison Roberts and had been open less than a year before the fire.
