Galesburg Women Arrested for Meth Possession
Two Galesburg women have been arrested on meth related charges.

Thursday around 8:30 a.m., a Galesburg Police officer stopped two women in car that was registered to an April Rice of Galesburg.

The 27 year old Rice was wanted on a warrant in Warren County. During the stop, which occurred at the Mobile Gas Station on North Henderson Street, Rice was searched and two small plastic bags with white powder were found in her pocket.

The officer also noticed a passenger in Rice's car was avoiding the officer and walked into the gas station. 28 year Stephanie Gray was arrested after police found packets of pseudophedrine, plastics bags with white powder, and a set of keys in a trash can in the women's bathroom of the gas station.

Gray is charged with possession of meth manufacturing material and possession of methamphetamine. Rice faces charges of possession of meth, possession of meth making materials, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and cannabis.

Rice's car also was searched, which turned up coffee filters, white pills, ziploc bags, salt, lighters, and a metal measuring utensil, as well as a glass pipe and a green leafty substance.

Both women were taken to the Knox County Jail.
