Another Local Business Adding Jobs
Tuesday's primary election might have almost overshadowed another announcement of more jobs coming to the Galesburg area.

The City says Roseville-based steel fabrication company FusionTech will hire up to 72 more people over the next two years, virtually doubling the size of its workforce.

Company officials say in a city-issued press release that the move is being made possible because of a contract with what they say is "a major manufacturer of industrial radiators and heat exchangers."

The company praised the Galesburg-based Entrepreneurs, Business, and Innovation Network for their help on what they say was several projects, a sign the company is clearly in a growth mode.

Galesburg Global Strategies Director Gary Camarano says Fusion Tech's expansion, along with the expansion of the Gates rubber plant announced Monday, and the recently-announced expansion of Galesburg's Aluminum Castings, are all good signs for the region.
