Female Teen Denies Involvement in Galesburg Hotel Robbery
A female teenager accused of conspiring in last month's hotel robbery and battery in Galesburg has pleaded not guilty.

17-year-old McKayla McClure made the plea Monday inside Knox County Circuit Court through attorney Thomas Pepmeyer. Prosecutors allege McClure was an accomplice to to the beating of a Monmouth man by a group of men inside the America's Best Value Inn on February 8th.

Police reports at the time indicated the victim's wallet, car keys, and cell phone were all stolen, and video surveillance identified McClure as a suspect present on the scene.

McClure has been charged with three accountability counts for robbery, conspiracy, and aggravated battery. Circuit court records list a pre-trial conference is scheduled for McClure on May 7th.

Also appearing in court that day is the man actually charged with committing the crime, 23-year-old Jamie Campbell.
