Local Congressman Gets Front Row Seat in Healthcare Debate
A local Congressman has been lucky enough to get to witness something that many likely have tried to do the last several days.

18th District Republican Aaron Schock was chosen as only one of four Members of Congress to see Supreme Court proceedings on the health care reforms known as "Obamacare." Schock watched Day 2 of arguments Tuesday.

Speaking on a conference call with reporters, the Peorian said things went somewhat differently than he thought.

"It was quite lively, more lively than I had anticipated in terms of back and forth with interruptions between the chief justices and the attorneys present arguing," Schock said. "It seemed like time flew by the time they opened the arguments, to the time Chief Justice gaveled the court down at noon."

Schock says many times you could hear a pin drop in the Supreme Court chambers, and often the justices would laugh at each other poking fun at one another.

As for who might have won, Schock thinks the attorney for the 27 states challenging Obamacare did a better job than the Obama Administration's side.
