Monmouth Man Faces Drug Charges
A Monmouth man faces felony charges after law enforcement officials raided his home early Saturday morning.

The West Central Illinois Drug Task Force says Monmouth Police, State Troopers, and Warren County Sheriffs Deputies went to a home in the 500 block of West Fourth Street around 1am Saturday in order to execute a search warrant.

Authorities don't say what was found except for marijuana, and what they say is evidence consistent with the preliminary charges being filed.

Arrested was 23-year old Nathan Shook, who faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of 30 to 500 grams of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Shook is being held in the Warren County Jail. Agents say a formal court appearance is pending.
