Arrest Made in Early Monday Morning Shooting
Around 12:58 Monday morning Galesburg police responded to a call in the 200 block of West Main Street of a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived on scene they found one male victim with a single gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to Galesburg Cottage Hospital and treated for a superficial gunshot wound to his left cheek.

He was later released from the Hospital.

Galesburg Police believe the incident stemmed from a prior altercation reported by the victim.
The victim reported an earlier incident occurred at Diamonds Bar on West Main Street.

According to a news release from the City, Galesburg Police's investigation lead to the arrest of 21 year old William McClendon for obstruction of justice.

An arrest warrant was issued for Dominique McClendon for attempted murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, aggravated discharge of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Bond was set at $500,000 for Dominique McClendon.
