A Quick Trip To The Islands
The sounds of the Islands came to Knox College Tuesday morning as members of Calypso Chaos played original music composed by the students of the Music Theory one class.

The around ten minute performance was a celebration of the end of term, the end of winter and students work.

Knox College's Associate Professor of Music Jeremy Day-O'Connell tells WGIL tells WGIL the music is all original and written by some students who may have never taken a music class before.

"In music theory one, they develop just enough skills so that they can write little four bar melodies some of which I think are fun, they're really, really great," says Day-O'Connell. "I have them write a couple of tunes each and then I choose 15 of them to play in a medley in this way."

This is the third year for the event and Day-O'Connell says he thinks this will defiantly become a Knox Tradition.
