Man Arrested On California Warrant, Cannabis Located
Galesburg Police arrested a suspect that was considered one of Chico, California's "most wanted."

Officers received word that 37 year old Jason Brewer would be coming through Galesburg on the Zephyr #6 train.

Authorities found a picture of Brewer by performing a search and locating his most wanted photo.

Police, along with Special ops investigators, boarded the train when it arrived on the Galesburg platform.

Brewer was located in the lounge car, drinking before being placed under arrest on the Butte County, California warrant.

After being placed under arrest, K9 was brought in to sniff the luggage. After a positive hit, two vacuum sealed baggies of marijuana were allegedly found.

70 grams of cannabis was located in the first bag, and seeds, a scale and grinder were located in the second.

In addition to the infliction of corporal injury to a co-habitant and assault with a deadly weapons charges from the California warrant, Brewer is also being charged with possession of cannabis 30-500 grams.
