Bank Donates to Orpheum's Red Carpet Series
The Orpheum Theatre has announced that it received a $2,500 sponsorship gift from F&M Bank to help support the April 17 performance of the popular Branson musical theatre act, The Lowe Family.

"I am very proud that F&M Bank is once again a sponsor of a Red Carpet Series event. The Orpheum Theatre is an integral part of Galesburg's cultural and entertainment scene. They do a great job in providing quality entertainment for our community." said Mike Holloway, F&M Bank's Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer.

"In 2008, ticket sales only covered about 37% of the Red Carpet Series' total expenses and overhead," said Orpheum president, Kate Francis. "Corporate sponsorship like this one from F&M Bank coupled with other contributed income and hotel and motel tax proceeds off-set the remaining expenses."

"In addition to exceptional financial support for local not-for-profits, F&M Bank's 55 employees donate nearly 5,000 hours of time," continued Francis. "They are truly the epitome of a 'community bank'."

The Red Carpet Series, now in its fourth season, brings a broad variety of cultural and entertainment offerings to Galesburg's historic Orpheum Theatre. It includes Branson's "The Lowe Family" April 17 sponsored by F&M Bank and OSF St. Mary Medical Center, and "To Kill a Mockingbird" May 6 sponsored by Tom Knapp ReMax Realtors.

For more information on the Red Carpet Series or to purchase a subscription, gift certificate or single tickets call the Orpheum Theatre Box Office at (309) 342-2299 or visit the Orpheum Theatre's new website at www.theorpheum.org.
