Attorneys Want to Separate Rob Blagojevich's Criminal Case from Rod Blagojevich's
Robert Blagojevich, older brother of ex-Gov. Rod Blagojevich, may look to separate his case from his brother's. The two were in federal court Tuesday, both pleading not guilty to federal conspiracy charges.

Robert Blagojevich, 53, of Nashville, Tenn., became chairman of his brother's campaign fund in August 2008, just a few months before Rod was arrested. Robert Blagojevich faces two counts of wire fraud and if found guilty could face up to 40 years in prison.

Robert Blagojevich's attorney, Michael Ettinger, says he will move for a severance because of the number of counts against his client and because of the time frame in which his client worked for the ex-governor.

Ettinger acknowledged to reporters that the brothers' relationship is strained, but says everything will work out between the two of them.

Robert Blagojevich served 21 years in the Army and retired a lieutenant colonel. He described his current work as "self-employed" working as a real estate investor.
