Man Accused of Child Sex Abuse Posts Bond
A Knox County man authorities accuse of having sexual contact with a young child, has been released from Knox County Jail after posting bond.

29-year old Christopher Perdue of Yates City was in Knox County Court Friday morning for his first appearance with an attorney. Perdue told Judge Dwayne Morrison that he was still in the process of hiring an attorney so Morrison continue the appearance until April 17th at 9am in Knox County Court.

Perdue is being charged with a Class-X Felony count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child after he was arrested in March on a Knox County warrant. Knox County Court records indicate Perdue is alleged to have improper sexual contact with a female between the ages of six and 13, but other details are not available.

Perdue is out of jail after posting 10 percent of his $100,000 bond and could face anywhere between six and 30 years in prison if convicted.

Morrison ordered Perdue to have no contact with minors other than his own children.
