Final Visioning Session Thursday -- HEAR COVERAGE ON WGIL AND WGIL.COM
The last Galesburg Advantage work session is entitled "CULTIVATING A Sense Of Place: The Rules of Community and Neighborhood Attraction."

Panel members include: Kate Francis, Executive Director, Orpheum Theatre; Judy Gorham, Realtor, Mel Foster Realty; Linus Vanderwyst, Director, Knox County YMCA; Ranee Collura, Neighborhood Watch; and Shannon Jansen, Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator, OSF St. Mary Medical Center. The evening's moderator is Harry Bulkeley, retired Circuit Judge.

"The ideas generated by the visioning assemblies will be compiled for review by the Economic Development Network, presented for public review and ranking and, ultimately, assembled into a vision strategy for adoption by units of local government and agencies engaged in community development," said Dane Bragg, City Manager.

The final session will take place on the Carl Sandburg College campus, 2400 Tom L. Wilson Boulevard, Galesburg, Building "B" in the Dr. Donald G. Crist Student Center. The sessions begin at 6 pm and last approximately two hours.

Session summaries for past sessions are posted on the City of Galesburg web site at www.ci.galesburg.il.us. The panel discussion portion of the session can be heard on AM 1400 WGIL and streamed on wgil.com, immediately following Holy Week services at approximately 6:30pm Thursday. The panel discussion and summary reports will be available for download on wgil.com later Thursday evening.
