Knox-Warren Special Education District Head to Retire
POSTED 2:32pm 4/13/10 The person who's been at the helm of the Knox-Warren Special Education District for a number of years is getting set to retire.

The Galesburg School Board Monday night voted to accept the retirement of Susan Crawford at the end of the next school year.

District-205 officials say Crawford has been with the Special Education District for the last eight years, and currently makes a little more than $108,000 a year in salary.

It's not clear when the district might begin a search for a replacement. The District-205 board is the governing body for the Knox-Warren Special Education District.

The District-205 board has also allowed a second year for Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Guy Cahill.

Cahill replaced Paul Woehlke in that role last July, at a salary of around $111,000 a year, after reportedly being forced out of a similar job in the Peoria School District.

Woehlke is now Superintendent in the Monmouth-Roseville School District.
