Brady Unveils New Website
Republican candidate for governor Bill Brady is unveiling a new Web site that blasts Gov. Pat Quinn's call for an income tax hike. Brady says the last thing Illinois needs is a tax hike, and says his plan to reduce state government spending by 10 percent over 10 years is a better idea than raising taxes.

The site is at www.StopThePatQuinnTax.com. Brady says the site will ask visitors to sign a petition that opposes a tax hike.

Brady says it's good that Quinn is announcing the largest summer construction season in Illinois history, but says any real revenue to help pull Illinois out of its economic slump would have to come from the private sector. Brady says that will occur only if government deflects a tax hike and starts helping businesses.

Meanwhile, Brady says he's not going any further in releasing personal financial information to voters. Brady, who has put economic interest statements on his campaign Web site, refuses to release his tax returns. He says he released his returns when he ran for governor four years ago, and while it didn't help his campaign, it hurt his business. Brady says he won't do that again.
