SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum will celebrate its fifth birthday with a celebration April 19.

A Lincoln presenter will offer a piece of cake in the presidential museum plaza to any paid visitor.

The presidential museum opened April 19, 2005 with a ceremony attended by then-President George W. Bush; First Lady Laura Bush; current President Barack Obama, then a senator from Illinois, and other dignitaries.

It drew 25,000 spectators and more than 400 members of the media from around the world.

Since it opened the museum has had more than 2.24 million visitors. With an average of 436,000 annual visitors it is the nation's most popular presidential library and museum.
