WGIL Wins Associated Press "Station of the Year"

WGIL was awarded "Station of the Year" by the Illinois Associated Press Saturday night at the Illinois News Broadcasters Association convention in Oak Brook. This is the second consecutive year WGIL has won the prestigious award, competing against radio and television stations across the state. News Director Will Stevenson also won the AP's "Newsfinder of the Year," also for the second year in a row. Stevenson also received Second Place honors in the "Best Spot News" category for coverage of the fire at the Galesburg EconoInn. (WGIL News Photo courtesy Heather Voudrie.)
