IL Senate President's Son Pulled Over 8 Times
CHICAGO (AP) -- Court records show that Illinois Senate President John Cullerton's son has been pulled over eight times on Illinois roads since 2001 for citations that include going 115 in a 65 mph zone and driving under the influence.

The Chicago Tribune reports that court records and interviews show some of those traffic stops occurred while Garritt Cullerton was driving a car with the official Senate license plate "6."

In the most recent stop, Chicago police cited Garritt Cullerton for DUI while he was driving a state-owned vehicle Sunday.

The Tribune reports that Garritt Cullerton wasn't convicted in two previous DUI cases but was fined for lesser traffic offenses in both cases.

John Cullerton says he never intervened in any of the court cases. And he says he's very concerned about his 26-year-old son.

The younger Cullerton's attorney declined to comment.
