Victim Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Crash
A Knox County man has died as the result of a one-vehicle crash.

Sheriffs Deputies say they, along with Galesburg ambulances and Knoxville Firefighters, responded to a call of a single-vehicle accident in the nine-hundred block of Knox Highway 8 just before 7am Monday.

Deputies say Coroner Mark Thomas pronounced the driver of a pickup truck dead at the scene, and that the person was the only one in the vehicle.

A local funeral home has identified the victim as 24-year old Jeffrey Brown of Knoxville, formerly of Abingdon. That identification was later confirmed by the Sheriffs Department.

Investigators say it appears Brown's vehicle had rolled over and landed on its top, but it's not clear how.

An autopsy was held Monday, but that an investigation is not final.

Sheriffs officials say Brown was apparently not wearing a seat belt.
