IL Elections Website Revamped
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois elections officials have revamped their website to make information easier to find.

Dan White is executive director of the State Board of Elections. He says the new Internet page retains the conventional menu but is organized to cater to groups with different interests.

A special home page presents links most popular with voters. Another page combines links most often used by political committees, teachers and students, businesses and election officials.

A search feature prompts visitors with suggested search topics.

White says users may make comments and suggestions to improve the site.

The board has general supervision over election laws in Illinois. Elections are administered by 110 separate election authorities.
