Durbin Subpoenaed For Blago Trial
CHICAGO (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin says he's been subpoenaed to testify at former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's trial, while a White House spokesman turned away questions about whether President Obama also might end up on the witness stand.

Durbin discussed his subpoena at a news conference in Chicago Friday. He says he isn't sure he'll be called to testify, but he says he'll appear if he is.

Durbin's comments came a day after Blagojevich's lawyers asked a federal judge to issue a subpoena for Obama.

In Washington Friday, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs wouldn't answer questions about how Obama might respond to such a subpoena. And Gibbs refused to comment on "a pending criminal investigation."

Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to charges that accuse him of scheming to sell or trade Obama's former Senate seat.
