Knox College Faculty Awarded Fullbright Fellowships
GALESBURG, Ill. (AP) -- Two faculty members at Knox College have been picked for prestigious Fulbright Scholar fellowships.

It's the second consecutive year that instructors from Knox have gotten that honor.

This year's recipients are biology Professor Stuart Allison and assistant anthropology and sociology Professor Amy Singer.

Allison will travel to the United Kingdom this fall to compare ecological restoration practices in Europe and the United States.

Singer will work in Indonesia studying the global flow of agricultural commodities and cultural markets. She'll focus on two distinctive Indonesian foods, Balinese sea salt and Javanese cashews.

The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. State Department.
