Preliminary Hearing Continued Again for Woman Charged in Easter Shooting
A Galesburg woman accused of shooting another woman on Easter Sunday will be back in court again in two weeks.

That's after Knox County Circuit Court Judge Paul Mangieri Tuesday granted another continuance of the preliminary hearing in the case of 27-year old Katonnia Kelley.

Kelley faces charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm after she allegedly shot 21-year old Chariot Campbell in the chest the afternoon of April 4th during an altercation in the 500 block of Holton Street

It later was later learned that Campbell was pregnant, and that the unborn baby -- Don Charles Campbell Walker -- died at a hospital in Peoria, where a coroner's jury ruled the death a homicide.

Additional charges have not been filed, but State's Attorney John Pepmeyer said last week that determination has yet to be made.

The preliminary hearing is now scheduled for May 11th at 2 p-m.

Kelley remains held in the Knox County Jail on $250,000.

Campbell, according to a family spokesperson, remains hospitalized.
