Tea Party Part of Obama Quincy Visit
A number of Tea Party members gathered in protest during President Barack Obama's speech in Quincy Wednesday. The group held a meeting just after the speech at a nearby hotel.

Obama spoke about bringing reforms to Wall Street, but members of the Tea Party say the nation needs less government. The group also discussed the Ensuring Liberty organization. The new organization is trying to form a congressional caucus to bring more conservative representation to Washington.

Quincy Tea Party leader Steve McQueen says the group is focusing on the November election. They hope to unseat some Democrats in Congress. Republican candidate for the 17th congressional district, Bobby Schilling, spoke during the meeting. He says Obama specifically stopped in Quincy because it is a hotbed for the Tea Party and Obama is trying to rebuild his base there.
