No Cause Yet in Death of IL School Official
HAMILTON, Ill. (AP) -- It could be several weeks before authorities know why Hamilton School Superintendent Gaylord "Jim" Jackson died over the weekend.

Jackson was found in his home in Hamilton, located in Hancock County, on Sunday.

Hamilton Assistant Police Chief Bryan Finch says an autopsy has been conducted but the final results may not be known for up to six weeks.

Jackson took over as superintendent of Hamilton's schools in July 2006. He had been off the job for the last five months after taking an indefinite leave of absence for health reasons.

Jackson previously worked in several schools in the Springfield area.
