Two Teens Dead, Two Injured, Following Accident Near Avon
FIRST REPORTED 6:30am 4/4/10 Two people are dead, and two more are injured as the result of an accident in rural Fulton County Saturday night.

The Fulton County Sheriffs Department says the accident happened around 7:25pm Saturday on Roberts Road near Avon. They say 15-year old Rachael Anderson of Avon, and 15-year old Anissa Morgan of Racine, Wisconsin were pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner, while 16-year old Meagan Markely of Avon was transported to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, and 14-year old Levi Sloan of Avon was transported to OSF Saint Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Sheriffs Deputies say the vehicle driven by Markely was likely headed westbound on Roberts Road at what they think was a high rate of speed when it lost control, went off the road, struck a utility pole, and at some pointed ended up in the air, rolling a number of times before coming to rest.

Anderson, Morgan, and Markely were all believed to be ejected from the vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing. Markely is said to remain hospitalized, while it's not clear if Sloan is.

Fulton County and Galesburg ambulances both responded to the scene to assist deputies, along with Avon Police, Fire, and Rescue, and Illinois State Troopers.
