House Could be Monmouth-Roseville Administration's New Home
The Monmouth-Roseville School District has been given a piece of property that could become a permanent home for the district office.

The district has been donated anonymously a home on South B Street near Monmouth-Roseville High School that is being considered as a district office, following the district's move out of Central School due to a budget related realignment plan.

The District 238 Board's Physical Resources Committee toured the home Thursday night. Superintendent Paul Woehlke tells WGIL it's not the prefect scenario, but it could work.

"There are trade-offs, there are pros and cons to every alternative we've looked at. Before we moved to our current location we did a pretty thorough look at what facilities were available for rent in the downtown area and we just didn't find any space that was really ideal for a district office so I think we have to make compromises pretty much any way we go and we're just trying to figure out what's the best combination of compromises here."

Woehlke says offices would be located inside the two and a half story home, with the garage being converted into a district board room, though some board members have objected to the rehab costs.

A decision on what to do could come later this month.
