Accused Galesburg Robbers Make Brief Court Apperances
What was supposed to be a plea hearing for one of six accused robbers in Galesburg was continued to another date in Knox County Circuit Court Thursday morning.

18-year old Shane Tatum of Skokie appeared in court, but his public defender Dan O'Brien told Judge Paul Mangeri they weren't quite ready to make a plea just yet.
O'Brien said he'd met with the prosecution, State's Attorney John Pepmeyer, but wording of the plea need to be finalized.

Another plea hearing was scheduled for May 12th.

Also in court was 20-Searcy Boyd of Galesburg, who is also accused in the December Robbery of Grand Liquors in Galesburg.

Boyd was to have a status hearing before the judge and a future court date was a;sp set for May 12th for a pretrial conference.

Both men are part of a group of six people accused of armed robbery and who may be connected to a number of other robberies in Galesburg last year.

The other four are 20-year old Albert Prater of of Skokie, 21-year old Bryan Vann of Galesburg, and 18-year old Jekorey Green of Detroit, Michigan and 17-year old Seville Boyd of Galesburg.
