National Minority Health Month Encourages Active Lifestyle
Get up, get out and get active are the goals of a new national initiative that is being kicked off in conjunction with National Minority Health Month.

Walk the dogs, ride your bike, and you could be eligible for the President's active lifestyle award.

Corenll McClellan is President Barack Obama's personal trainer and a member of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition.

"The requirements are: for children to work out 60 minutes a day, one hour a day for five days, per week per six weeks, and for adults to do 30 minutes a day five days a week, six weeks."

Accomplish all of that and you could be eligible for a certificate from President Obama.

April is National Minority Health Month and over the last 30 years childhood obesity has more than tripled in the U.S. with racial and ethnic minorities especially affected.
