Jewelry Recovered After Central Illinois Heist
WAPELLA, Ill. (AP) -- Authorities say almost all of jewelry stolen during an armed robbery in central Illinois has been recovered, but suspects remain at large.

DeWitt County Sheriff Jered Shofner says the jewelry is worth about $750,000. Shofner didn't release details on where it was recovered.

The (Bloomington) Pantagraph reports the Wednesday robbery occurred in Wapella. A jewelry merchant traveling from Indiana to Chicago made a stop in central Illinois when masked men with guns allegedly grabbed suitcases from the car and fled.

The alleged robbers were picked up in a van found abandoned on railroad tracks.
A woman has been charged with obstruction of justice in the case. But Shofner says an undetermined number of suspects remain at large and investigators are approaching the heist as if it were a ``large conspiracy.''
