Monmouth Man Faces Drug, Weapons Charges
A Monmouth man is in trouble with the law after firearms and drugs were allegedly found in his home.

Officials from the West Central Illinois Drug Task Force say 51-year old Wendell Sage was arrested Thursday afternoon and is being charged with two-counts of Unlawful Delivery of Cannabis, and one count each of Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm Without an I.D. Card.

The task force says agents executed a search warrant at Sage's North A Street Home around noon Thursday, following what they call "an extensive cannabis-related investigation."

The agents say they found alleged packaged cannabis, a scale, other items, and the allegedly-stolen gun.

Sage is being held in the Warren County Jail pending future court appearances.
