Man Died of Head Injuries at Caterpillar
EAST PEORIA, Ill. (AP) -- A worker was crushed by the machine he was servicing at a Caterpillar facility in central Illinois.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports that an autopsy performed Monday confirms that 34 year old Troy Bryner of Wyoming died Sunday of head injuries. Bryner was pronounced dead at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center about 40 minutes after being crushed by the machine.

Bryner worked for Advanced Technology Services as a senior mechanical technician for about six years. In a statement, the company says it's investigating to determine what caused the accident.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says it isn't clear exactly what happened to cause the machine to crush Bryner. Ingersoll's office, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the East Peoria police also are investigating.
