College Student Injured in Accident
FIRST REPORTED 9am 4/19/11 Monmouth Police are looking for the vehicle that apparently struck a pedestrian very early Tuesday morning.

Monmouth Police say officers responded to an accident on North 6th Street near County Market around 12:30 a-m.

They say a male 21-year old Monmouth College student who was walking in the area was struck by an unidentified vehicle that apparently did not stop.

Police officials do not identify the student, who was taken to an unidentified Peoria hospital for treatment of injuries.

They're urging anyone with information to call Monmouth Police or stop by the city's Public Safety Building.
