Blagojevich to Appear at Retrial Thursday
CHICAGO (AP) -- A spokesman for Rod Blagojevich says the former Illinois governor will make a first appearance at his corruption retrial Thursday as questioning of would-be jurors in court begins.

Glenn Selig says Blagojevich will attend the start of individual questioning of potential jurors that's scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

More than 100 potential jurors showed up in the federal courthouse to fill out 38-page questionnaires Wednesday morning. That marked the official start of the retrial.

Blagojevich wasn't required to be at the courthouse Wednesday for the first stage of jury selection.

The 54 year old faces 20 charges, including accusations he sought to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama's old U.S. Senate seat.

Courthouse spokesman Joel Daly says Judge James Zagel hopes to have a jury impaneled by Wednesday.
