Madigan Wants Meeting With Apple, Google
CHICAGO (AP) -- Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan wants a meeting with Apple and Google.

Madigan's office said Monday the attorney general wants to meet with executives to talk about reports the companies' devices are collecting and storing detailed information about user locations.

The information includes latitude and longitude coordinates along with time stamps. It is then sent back to the company.

Madigan says she wants to know what information the company is storing, how long it is stored and what it is used for. She says she also wants to know if the tracking can be disabled.

Madigan says it's important the companies "ensure that their users' private information is protected."
