National Walk at Lunch Day
(IRN)-Are you lazy? Wednesday is a good day to get off your behind.

It's National Walk at Lunch Day, designed to get sedentary people to start walking for exercise, says Dr. Carole Flamm, executive medical director at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

"This is about raising awareness, trying to encourage those of us who don't get enough activity to try and take steps to start building activity into our routines," she says.

Several hundred are expected to walk at work in the rain today around the Blue Cross and Blue Shield headquarters in Chicago, but anyone can do it anywhere. The idea of doing it at work is that with the support of co-workers, you can make it a habit. Flamm says you're supposed to get 30 minutes of exercise five times a week, and you'll feel better afterward.
