IL Lt. Governor Visits Rend Lake, Kaskaskia Schools
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Lt. Governor Sheila Simon will continue her tour of the state's 48 community colleges on Monday with tours of Rend Lake and Kaskaskia.

Simon is making the tour to promote the goal of having 60 percent of the state's working-age adults obtain degrees or certificates by 2025.

Simon will meet with students, faculty and administrators to talk about each school's strengths and weaknesses.

The 10 a.m. visit to Rend Lake College in Ina and a 1 p.m. stop at Kaskaskia College in Centralia are Simon's 11th and 12th visits on the tour.
