Galesburg Woman Pleads Not Guilty to Identity Theft
A 22-year-old Galesburg woman has pleaded not guilty to allegedly stealing almost a dozen credit card numbers last month.

Knox County Circuit Court records indicate Tiffany Treadway made the plea and demanded a jury trial through Defense Attorney Karl Johnson Tuesday. She's been charged with nine felony counts of identity theft, and one count of aggravated identity theft-- which carries a penalty of up to fifteen years in prison if found guilty.

Prosecutors accuse Treadway of stealing credit card information from ten separate victims in March, and allege one of them to be over 60-years-old.

In addition to her not guilty plea this week, court documents show Judge James Stewart lowered Treadway's initial bail of $100,000 dollars to $15,000 dollars. A preliminary hearing was also waved.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for May seventh.
