What Brown Can Do for a Congressman
A local Congressman otherwise known for his pizza-making prowess was making a few deliveries in Galesburg Tuesday.

While he was in town for the annual Carl Sandburg College Job Fair, 17th District Republican Bobby Schilling stopped at the UPS facility to talk things over with workers and managers there, and present an employee with an award for his years of service.

But Schilling tells the WGIL Morning News what might have been the most fun for him: being in the passenger seat of a big brown truck.

"And I do what they call a ride-a-long where I got to go with one of the gentleman, and basically go out 'in the browns' as they call it, and actually go in and deliver and talk with some their customers one on one," he said. "And now I truly understand why those guys are in such good shape."

Schilling says of the people he made deliveries with, some knew who he was right away, some didn't, and some said they thought it might be him.

Schilling later said on his Facebook page that UPS is one of the companies having to deal now with the high cost of gas -- which he claims is $4.11 on average in Illinois. He says Congress needs to come together to do something about that.
