Toddler Allegedly Suffers Head Injuries from Baby-sitter's Shake
Charges have been filed against a 21-year-old baby-sitter who allegedly shook and caused head injuries to a 3-month-old baby.

Marina England, of Galesburg, was charged Wednesday with aggravated battery of a child, domestic battery and endangering the life of a child.

Knox County Assistant States' Attorney Elisa Tanner says the baby's mother came home April 17th and saw England allegedly shaking her child for not drinking a bottle. Tanner says England was also watching a 6-year-old, who admits to witnessing the suspected incident. She says England was allegedly screaming at the baby to take the bottle.

According to Tanner, an MRI and CT scan of the baby's head checked back negative last week. But she says the tot has reportedly been sleeping abnormally and jerking uncontrollably at times. She says it's possible the 3-month-old may be suffering from post-concussion symptoms.

Meanwhile, Circuit Court records indicate England was appointed a public defender Wednesday and will return to court next week. Judge Paul Mangieri set her bond at $50,000 dollars.
